What is the study of Hotel Management about?

The hotel sector is a vital part of the hospitality industry. Broadly stated, the hospitality industry can be classified as the collection of business providing accomodation and/ or food and beverages to people who are away from home.

The study of hotel management will cover a wide range of subjects such as Housekeeping Management,Food and Beverage Management, Nutrition and even Basic Cookery. Students will learn a broad range of skills to prepare for career advancement in the industry or even to open their own restaurants. The programme includes on-the-job training at restaurants and renowned hotels.

Career Opportunities

In view of the breadth of the hospitality industry, graduates who have completed their diplomas can have a wide range of career alternatives.

They will take up positions in restaurant, hotels and motels, recreational facilities, food services, health care services, cruise, catering and food and beverage administration.
